Tom Hanks has revealed that one of his long-time acting desires is to play a villain in a James Bond movie.
Hanks was promoting Toy Story 4 when he went off on a bit of a tangent about his dream acting role on the Graham Norton Show.
However, Norton first asked the star if he had ever considered playing Batman. "It would be comical, can you imagine me in that suit and with my voice?" Hanks said, before revealing his true acting dream.
"I have never been asked to be in a superhero film but would love to play a villain in a Bond movie."
While an incredibly versatile actor, Hanks isn't known for playing villains but if anyone could pull it off, it's him.
But for now, Hanks is coming to terms with saying goodbye to everyone's favorite toy.
"It was terrible. I started recording Woody in 1991 and each film takes about four years. It was my very last session and when I'd said the last line they said, 'Okay, great, thanks', and just like that 24 years was over.
"All I could say was 'Oh my, oh my' over and over again and my bottom lip started quivering. I got in my car and drove away with the music playing and the credits rolling in my head.."
But Hanks added that the voice-over work wasn't all fun and games- it was actually quite exhausting.
"I never began a recording session without wishing it was already over. Woody is clenched all the time. It's exhausting."
For the time being, you can catch Tom Hanks in Toy Story 4. Or you can wait for him to be cast in a James Bond movie.
We think we'll go with the former.
