As well as making some of the finest West Coast rap music, Snoop Dogg has become something of a national treasure with Americans.
If he isn't in the studio, you'll probably find him rolling a big fat splif outside the White House or serenading Martha Stewart as she cooks up a signature storm in her Beverley Hills kitchen, so it seems only right that the rap legend has finally been awarded a star on America's illustrious Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The hitmaker, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr, will received the star in the recording category in a special ceremony for Jimmy Kimmell Live!
As well as close members of his family and entourage, music producer Quincy Jones and hip-hop pioneer Dr Dre will also be in attendance.
Ana Martinez, the producer behind the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, waxed lyrical of Snoop's achievements and contributions to music. "Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work,
"He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame."
The event will take place on 19 November and will be aired on WalkOfFame.com.
However, the Gin and Juice star's involvement in music has waned in recent years. Instead, Snoop has turned his skills to cooking and has even released his very own recipe cook called Crook To Cook, a book which he promises will offer enough "snacks to satisfy those munchies.
"You know it's blazin' up in my kitchen. I'm takin' the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favourite recipes, ya dig?" he exclaimed.
Other endeavours in the wacky world of the Dogg include his celebrated marijuana businesses which were even honoured at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
But don't think Snoop's given up music entirely. From tomorrow, he'll be appearing on the "Puff Puff Pass US Tour" with musical guests DJ Quik, Too $hort, Warren G, Kurupt, Baby Bash, Luniz, Suga Free, The Dove Shack and Tha Eastsidaz.
