Ryan Reynolds is many things. Handsome. Funny. Charming. Talented. Quick-witted. He's the real deal, and another box he ticks is being incredibly generous, as he's teamed up with a leading cancer charity to auction off his pink Deadpool suit.
As part of a 'fuck cancer' campaign, Reynolds teamed up with the charity and released a hilarious video of his comic character loafing around in a pink suit directing fans to the Omaze website where you can donate to the cause and be in with a chance of winning the suit.
Owning such a garish piece of movie memorabilia could undoubtedly be used for many things, as Deadpool explained. "Will you add it to your weekly wardrobe rotation? Will it become a colourful addition to your S&M dungeon?
"Or will you simply nail it to a post in order to scare away birds, children and the elderly?"
The entry format naturally encourages donations to be as high as possible. For instance, if you spare $25, you'll get 250 entries into the competition- for $50 you'll get 1,000.
If you're feeling super generous, a $1,500 donation will land you a whopping 15,000 entries and a signed DVD/Blu-Ray combo pack. For the rich and philanthropic, a $5,000 will give you 50,000 entries and perhaps best of all, a personalised voicemail message from Deadpool himself.
One of Hollywood's nicest guys made headlines recently when he invited children who have cancer to the set of Deadpool 2 as part of the Male-A-Wish and Children's Wish foundations.
The actor posted a lovely photo of the day on his Instagram page with the caption: "Deadpool kicked cancer in the taint, but these kids do it for real every day.
"These foundations make dreams come true for a lot of super-brave kids. They also make dreams come true for parents, who just wanna see their kid smile."
