Robert De Niro has split up with his wife of more than twenty years, Page Six understands. An inside source revealed that the star actor and his wife Grace Hightower are "not living together at this time".
The report goes onto suggest that they will likely announce their divorce within the next few weeks.
However, the news will come as little shock to those who have closely followed the couple's relationship history. In recent years, De Niro has attended many star-studded events by himself, such as New York's Museum of Modern Art event on Monday.
The star shares two children with Hightower, six-year-old Helen and 20-year-old Eliot.
Having been married since 1997, the couple almost divorced two years later after the Taxi Driver star filed for divorce before deciding to give things another shot.
The couple even renewed their vows back in 2004 and appeared to be doing just fine until problems within the family started to surface.
For instance, De Niro hasn't held back on his beliefs that childhood vaccinations led to his son Eliot's autism, even going on record in 2017 to say, "The vaccines are dangerous to certain people who are more susceptible.'
"Nobody seems to want to address that, or they say they've addressed it and it's a closed issue, but it doesn't seem to be.
"There are many people who will come out and say I saw my kid change overnight. I saw what happened, I should have done something, and I didn't.
"There's more to this than meets the eye, believe me."
De Niro was also married between the years 1976 to 1988 to Diahnne Abbot.
Speaking about his marriage to Highwater in 2013, De Niro admitted that marriage takes "a lot of give and take, standing your ground, because then you keep the respect you started out with."
A year later, in an interview with a British newspaper, his views on marriage appeared to be met with even more caution.
"The only thing I would say is that if you get married, it's easier probably not to have children if you're going to split up - it makes life simpler."
Here's hoping Bobby and Grace move on and find the love they both deserve.
