Human beings seem to have an intrinsic fear of sharks despite statistics regularly telling us that shark attacks are rare.
Still, dying in a plane crash is rare too, but it still happens so when we step into the sea we're always going to have the thought of being eaten alive by one, so spare a thought for these paddleboarders in California who were told by police in a chopper that they were in proximity to 15 great white sharks.
I don't know about you, but I'd lose my s*it! 1 is bad enough. But 15?!!
The increased sightings of great white sharks are believed to have come about from global warming, and Orange County Police are warning beachgoers that more sightings are likely.
Judging by that aerial footage, I'd be avoiding the ocean for a long time if I was an Orange County resident!
