Lil Pump has revealed to his millions of Instagram followers that he is off to jail.
The Gucci Gang hitmaker was stopped by cops in Miami, Florida after officers found unlicensed licence plates on his elaborate Rolls-Royce which actually belonged to a Mini Cooper, Variety reports.
The Hollywood rag revealed that the Miami-Dade County Jail booking sheet confirmed that the arrest was due to the artist not having a valid license.
The rapper, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, uploaded a short video to his Instagram account wearing a typically garish outfit decorated with copious amounts of ghastly bling. "Listen up y'all, I'm going to get straight to the point," he says.
"You all saw what happened in Miami, I got arrested or whatever on some bullshit. I'm on probation in LA, I violated my parole so I've got to go in and do a couple months."
However, Garcia did have some wise words for his malleable, younger fans. "Stay in school, don't fuck up like me."
He also revealed that members of his team would be taking over his social media accounts for the few months he is caged, which will coincide with the release of his upcoming album, which is set to drop on the 14th of September.
The 18-year-old's announcement, who was criticized this week by Eminem in his latest album for being a mumble rapper, attracted many supportive tweets from his fans, who soon started using the #FreePump hashtag on the post.
The new-wave hip-hop star was already on parole after he was charged for firing a gun in his house.
