Kanye West has been in the news a lot this week, and we already feel guilty for writing so much about him, but this latest story was too good to pass up.
Apparently, Ye's famous wife, the one and only Kim Kardashian, received a cheque for $1m because she turned down working for a brand that he believed 'knocks off' his brand, Yeezy.
In a talk with the famous plus-size model Ashley Graham on her podcast Pretty Big Deal, the curvaceous reality star revealed that her loyalty to her husband paid off- big time.
When Mother's Day came around, West surprised his wife, who is already worth $350m, by giving her even more money when he wrote her a cheque for $1m.
In an even bigger gesture, he also made her sign a contract which gave her a percentage of the Yeezy fashion brand.
"He's like the cutest," Kim gushed to Graham. "A brand offered me a million dollars to do a post on some of their clothing and they typically-I don't want to say who the brand is - but they typically knock off Yeezy."
Kim said that Ye was adamant he didn't want her working with them. "No babe. I really don't want you to do that."
Of course, the couple is in the privileged position of being able to turn down such sums, but that didn't stop Kanye dishing out a cool $1m on her to show his gratitude.
Kim continued, "Mother's Day was, like, the next week. Mother's Day comes, and he happened to be recording out of town and I get my flowers and then I get an envelope delivered to the door.
"I opened the envelope and it was a million dollar check with a note saying thank you for always supporting me and not posting.
"In the rest of the envelope, it was a contract to be an owner of Yeezy - to have my percentage. And that was my Mother's Day present."
But that isn't the only brand apparently trying to replicate her husband's success by copying his fashion pieces. Because of this, Kim suggested a way of solving this problem.
"I said, 'What we should do is have them pre-made. We know what we're wearing and sell them on the site after'.
Does a day not go past when Kanye isn't facing a problem? As the late Notorious Biggie Smalls once rapped, "Mo money, mo problems."
For Kanye, that line has never been more apt.
