Kanye West has confirmed that he will appear on the popular YouTube podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
Taking to Twitter to confirm news of a podcast episode which looks destined to be another fascinating insight into the minds of one of the most maligned stars in recent memory, West wrote, "Spoke with Joe Rogan Podcast coming soon."
The news comes just months after a whirlwind 2018 for the star, which saw the rapper wax lyrical of Donald Trump's attributes as president during a trip the Oval Office to telling TMZ journalists that slavery was a choice.
Yes, Kanye is no stranger to controversy, but it would appear that the hip-hop maestro is now intent on doing a more 'serious interview' that would cover topics such as mental health, a subject he claimed the press was 'afraid' to ask him about due to his bipolar diagnosis despite still being, in his words, 'everyone's favorite super hero'.
Unsurprisingly, news of the upcoming episode sparked much excitement on social media, with one Twitter user admitting that news of the forthcoming West episode had spawned series bouts of sweating. "LOOOL I`m so hyped for this podcast I started sweating."
Another user appeared to suggest that it would be good either way and would be a win-win for viewers, regardless of whether West lost focus. "I really want it to be good, but a disaster would be so much fun."
Still, while West claims to want to enter a serious discussion in his next interview, he hasn't helped himself in the last few days.
Just minutes after confirming the forthcoming podcast appearance, West wrote about the Trump MAGA hat. "One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can't tell me what to do because I'm black."
In another tweet, he wrote, "From now on I'm performing with my mutherfucking hat on."
Let's see how long that lasts.
