Idris Elba has proposed to his long-term girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre by getting down on one knee at a cinema in London on Saturday night.
The Wire actor, 45, and his partner, 29, were accompanied by friends and colleagues at a popular cinema in the hipster London enclave of Dalston for a screening of Elba's latest film Yardie.
The cinema even shared the engagement news on Twitter, posting: "Another riocinema first! Still 5 days to Valentine's Day but Idris Elba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film Yardie. She said yes and there was much clapping and cheering."
Those in attendance also took to social media to share the romantic news, with one user, seemingly in disbelief, exclaiming, "At cast & crew screening of Yardies & Idris Elba just proposed to his girlfriend Sabrina!! Big Congrats to you both!!"

The star-studded pair met in 2017, while Elba was filming alongside the British actress Kate Winslet in The Mountain Between Us in Canada.
Sabrina Dhowre, who is most known for being 2014's Miss Vancouver winner, also has some acting credits to her name and will now become step-mum to Idris's daughter Isan, 15, and his three-year-old son Winston, whom he shares with women from two pervious marriages.
Speaking about his newfound love, the stud said, "Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special."
