Has there ever been a hunkier superhero than Hugh Jackman's Wolverine? Okay, maybe that accolade goes to Chris Hemsworth's Thor, but the fellow Aussie certainly set the bar high whenever he appeared in the much-loved superhero franchise, but his days as everyone's favorite hairy superhero are well and truly behind him.
In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Jackman was asked about the possibility of reprising his role in Ryan Reynold's popular Deadpool franchise, but he was quick to shut that possibility down.
"Did Ryan Reynolds ask you to ask this question? Because it sounds like a trick question," he joked, with the character's last appearance coming in the 2017 blockbuster, Logan.
Sensing that there might be more information to be gained from this line of questioning, the journalist then asked if the possibility of working with the director Jason Reitman- who has been tasked with overseeing production on Deadpool 3- might eventually sway him.
"I love Jason Reitman, and I actually - for all I say - you know I love Ryan Reynolds.
"But right now Ryan, sorry buddy, you're gonna have to work harder than that."
Of course, Ryan's quest for his star man means he won't be giving up that easy. In fact, when Deadpool 2 was released, Good Morning America asked Jackman to send his good friend a personal message. In a deadpan voice, he looked into the camera and said, "Ryan, I love you, man. I love Deadpool. I can't wait to see the movie, you're one of my best friends. Blake [Lively, the actor to whom Ryan is married], the family, the whole thing.
"But back it up a little. Play a little hard to get. It's too much - It's not sexy."
Well, if it's Ryan Reynolds, anything can be passed off as sexy, but in Hugh's eyes, the constant advances are probably not going to do much!
You're going to have to up your game, Ryan!
