Donald Glover can do no wrong.
As well as having the number one song in America with the sociopolitical track,"This is America" Glover has recently hosted Saturday Night Live on top of widespread praise for the second season of the hit series Atlanta. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, he's also graced the silver screen in the recently-released Star Wars spin-off, Solo: A Star Wars Story as Lando Calrissian.
Glover is one of Hollywood's hottest properties at the moment, and rumors have recently been circulating over a possible Lando movie, the character Glover portrays.
However, the studio behind the movie has since released a statement clarifying earlier comments which suggested a Lando movie might be made.
"We would love to tell a story about Lando Calrissian one day, but it's not relevant, it would be fun to tell the story of Han and Chewie."
The latest story in the long-running Star Wars saga chronicles the backstory of Han Solo, played in this flick by Alden Ehrenreich, but made famous by Harrison Ford's acting chops in the original three movies.
Unsurprisingly, critics haven't taken kindly to another actor reprising Harrison Ford's legendary role, which is harsh when you consider Ford is in his 70s, and even with his good looks, could hardly get away with playing his younger self...
Despite this, the reviewers have taken kindly to the film itself, while Glover's performance has been equally lauded.
What are your thoughts on all these Star Wars spin-offs? Are they really necessary? Or are they perfect popcorn flicks for Star Wars obsessives and families?
