Ariana Grande has announced a hiatus from all forms of social media following her split from Pete Davidson.
The Dangerous Woman hitmaker posted an Instagram story after an NBC special A Very Wicked Halloween. Alluding to her split from the American comic, the singer wrote in a since-deleted message, "It's very sad and we're all tryin very hard to keep goin."
The star also attached a note to her story which read, "Today was very special," Grande continued, adding: "Time to say bye bye again to the internet for jus a lil bit.
"It's hard not to bump into news n stuff that I'm not trying to see rn [right now]," she added.
"It's very sad and we're all tryin very hard to keep goin. Love u and thank u for bein here always."
The 25-year-old has also been dealing with the tragic loss of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died from an overdose last month.
Most recently, Grande withdrew from a cancer benefit gala in Los Angeles last Saturday.
Davidson has also ceased his social media activity, deleting all photos from his Instagram account and cancelling a comedy gig scheduled for Wednesday.
The couple started dating in May 2018 after meeting on the set of Saturday Night Live where Davidson is part of the main cast. After a whirlwind 5 weeks together, he proposed with a $93,000 engagement ring.
The two are believed to have ended on good terms, but things appear to be over for good in the romance department.
While the reports are unconfirmed, some U.S. publications are stating that the singer handed back the costly ring, though Grande retained custody of their pet pig, Piggie Smallz.
