After her much-publicised divorce from fellow Hollywood hottie Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has admitted that she isn't enjoying the single life one bit.
In a recent interview with Britain's Sunday Telegraph, the 42-year-old opened up about her life post-divorce in one of her most candid interviews yet.
Describing her difficulties since the divorce, the stunning starlet admitted that her emotions had weighed her down, despite her public persona suggesting otherwise.
"I don't enjoy being single," she admitted. "It's not something I wanted. There's nothing nice about it. It's just hard."
"Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together, but really I am just trying to get through my days," she added. "Emotionally, it's been a very difficult year and I have had some other health issues. So my health is something I have to monitor."
Expanding on this, Jolie went onto say that she needed to rediscover some of her old self. “I think now I need to rediscover a little bit of the old me.
“I think we lose our way a bit. I have had a lot happen in my life, from certain people passing to health issues to raising the children."
The Academy Award winner filed for divorce in September 2016 and at this present moment has full custody rights over their six children, Maddox, 16; Pax, 13; Zahara, 12; Shiloh, 11; and the nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Despite this, rumors have circulated that the couple has slowed down divorce proceedings in a bid to save things, though it appears that this is gossip and little else a source for E! News revealed.
"They are not getting back together," the inside source said. "They are both focused on putting their children's priorities first and are getting along, but this story is clearly an outsider trying to create a storyline that doesn't exist.
Whatever your views are on the ongoing divorce, we wish Angie all the best moving forward.
